Beyond the Pages

We go beyond the pages of the Zine to promote our contributors, sponsors, and community.

Social Media

We recognize the importance of social media and take advantage of the fact that we work better together. We want to showcase not only the artwork and words on our pages, but also the creatives and the businesses that support them. Let’s engage, like, and show some love.

Dayton Metro Library Annual Poetry Contest

We were honored to judge the Dayton Metro Library’s annual poetry contest again this year. Winning poems from each category received a cash prize and were published in Issue 19.

Winter Solstice Poetry Reading

Every year, friends of the Tecumseh Land Trust and Glen Helen gather for an evening of poetry in honor of the Winter Solstice. This collaboration between TLT and Glen Helen has remained strong, attracting over 100 attendees each year. The lineup this year includes the first poet laureate of Cincinnati, Pauletta Hansel, a Dayton Literary Peace Prize nominee, Moriel Rothman-Zecher, the president of Ohio Poetry Association, Chuck Salmons, and the mother-daughter team Karen and Alexandra Scott. There will be 12 scheduled poets to begin the evening, then a wine-cheese reception sponsored by Wheat Penny, followed by an exciting open mic session.

Antioch Writer’s Workshop

The Antioch Writer’s Workshop began as a summer program at Antioch College in 1986. The non-profit organization offered creative writing workshops, seminars and retreats to poetry, fiction and nonfiction writers from across the U.S. It was a privilege to sit on the editor’s panel discussion and encourage writers to share their work.
