Mock Turtle Zine is an independent publishing effort undertaken to give artists and authors in Dayton, Ohio, and surrounding areas a vehicle for sharing their work. We pride ourselves as being not-for-profit and 100% volunteer staffed.
OUR VISION
Mock Turtle Zine seeks to motivate people in the region to visit our urban hub—Dayton, OH—and to seek out all of the creative outlets enriching our cityscape. We showcase local creatives to publicize their work and the outstanding happenings in and around downtown. We never profit from the Zine; thus, it is free to all. We’re here for you!
Artists & Authors
Contributing artists and authors are the backbone of our publication. Without them, we would be nothing.
Volunteer Editorial Staff
Our editorial staff publishes and distributes the Zine on a volunteer basis. It is our mission to curate, support, and promote the work of local creatives.
Distribution
We distribute the Zine to local downtown Dayton businesses to encourage our contributors and readers to support our community.
Beyond The Pages
We go beyond the ink and paper to promote our contributors, sponsors, and community partners.
Submissions
We accept submissions throughout the year with deadlines in April for the spring issue and September for the fall issue.
